Important Information and Procedure

PLEASE NOTE
Unlike some shuttle services we feel it important to point out the pros and cons of shuttle airport transfers compared to direct private airport transfers.

The aim of MAJORCA SHUTTLEBUS is to provide the cheapest coach transfers between Palma airport and resort hotels /apartment hotels on Majorca. Also eliminating the hassle associated with some SHUTTLE style transfers when passengers have not been made aware of how SHUTTLE services operate and the certain restrictions that apply.

PRE- BOOKED SHUTTLEBUS TRANSFERS
As with other transfer services operating from Palma airport we cannot provide transfers for people just turning up at our customer reception office in Palma airport arrivals hall without pre-booked confirmation.

The only option for transfers on demand are taxis at Palma airport taxi rank, which for most journeys on Majorca are far more expensive than SHUTTLEBUS transfers.

CHILD SEATS/BOOSTERS
Child seats/ boosters are not available in SHUTTLE vehicles on Majorca, they are available in TAXI and Minibus 5-7 passenger private transfers.

RESORT HOTELS/ APARTMENT COMPLEXES
MAJORCA SHUTTLEBUS transfer vehicles can only stop at hotels/large holiday apartment complexes in resorts. Shuttle transfer vehicles will stop near a taxi rank in resorts if required, for passengers going on to villa’s /private apartments/ boats

TRAVELLING TIME
MAJORCA SHUTTLEBUS coaches may stop at various resorts and hotels on each transfer journey. This means that travelling time between airport and your resort/ hotel can take much longer than direct private transfers. There can be up to 15 stops each shuttle journey.

ARRIVAL TIME AT RECEPTION OFFICE
Depending on your time of arrival at MAJORCA SHUTTLEBUS reception office there could be a maximum wait of nearly an hour before transfer vehicles depart.

An example…. Arrive at 10.45am then there is just a short wait for a SHUTTLE coach to depart at 11.00am. Arrive at 10.05am and next SHUTTLEBUS coach departs at 11.00am. There is plenty of seating at SHUTTLEBUS waiting area and café close by with outside smoking area.

Our policy is to ensure the maximum wait at Palma airport will only ever be 60 minutes. We do not hold shuttle vehicles back for delayed flights, another vehicle will be put on.

LUGGAGE ALLOWANCE
Luggage allowance per passenger, 1 suitcase + 1 item of hand luggage (as flight allowance). Folding child pushchairs and folding adult manual wheelchairs allowed ( not electric wheelchairs or electric mobility scooters )

Racing bikes in bags / hard cases 24 euro return per bike (details on booking form)

Golf bags, and other items of extra luggage are not permitted in MAJORCA SHUTTLEBUS coaches.

SHUTTLEBUS ACCESS
Passengers have to climb various steps into MAJORCA SHUTTLEBUS COACHES so may not be suitable for passengers with mobility difficulties. Twin Deck coaches also have an internal stairway to the upper deck.

RETURN TRANSFERS
Our aim is get all passengers to the airport at least 2 hours before their flight departure time.  Depending on the number of pick ups, etc., this could mean,  if, for example,  you are one of the first to be collected, a pick up time of 4-5 hours before flight departure.
